Looks can be decieving: DiMore JX Coupe Concept crossbreed

Don’t let the load bay fool you. This one of a kind DiMore JX Coupe Concept is indeed just that: A Coupe! Based on the 1999 Chrysler Concorde, the owner of this vehicle opted for a trendier version of the five seater, four door average Chrysler. Things that may seem important but were completely removed include the back seat, the rear doors and half of the roof. Newer and more interesting things added included the 3.2 litre V6 engine, a re-trimmed leather interior and a sports exhaust system. Via: Jalopnik

Chrysler Cuda Rumors

This story surfaced up today no thanks to an article from Detroit News which thought it was a good time to publish a rumor it heard from an interview with Chip Foose at the New York auto show. Despite the fact that a Dodge Challenger based Cuda with a Chrysler and not a Plymouth badge upfront would be something that could be done with relative ease we’ll agree we our fellow Auto-bloggers that first, it's not even an inside rumor and second, Detroit News wouldn’t have waited for a month to publish the story if they actually gave it any credit.

SEMA Show: Chrysler Town & Country Black Jack

Chrysler let out the first images of the 2008 Town & Country Black Jack ahead of the customized MPV’s SEMA Show premiere on October 30. The American carmaker insists that the Town & Country Black Jack draws its inspiration from the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. I happen to stay at the pyramid-themed Luxor Hotel in 2006 and honestly, I can’t say that I see any resemblance, but whatev.

The Black Jack sits on one-off 20-in. wheels tucked around a set of Brembo SRT brakes and matched with an adjusted ride height. The van’s body is covered in a custom Amber-Black Pearl paint with the hood featuring a ghosted "Black Jack" decal while chrome accents complement the billet-style grill. Inside the Black Jack gets LED lighting, dual panoramic-style roof openings while a leather- wrapped curved bench replaces the third-row seats. -Continued after the jump

As you’d expect, the Town & Country Black Jack is equipped with a high-end entertainment system that features two KICKER 10-in. L7 sub woofers tied to a 1250-watt amplifier, two pairs of 6-in. speakers and a four-channel 700-4 amplifier combined with rear-mounted 37-in. LCD flat screen and two 7-in. overhead monitors. The latter are connected to three hidden overhead digital cameras so forget about cheating...

Making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the STARTECH tuned Chrysler 300C Sedan and Wagon versions feature a full bodykit consisting of a front spoiler, custom-tailored mounting elements with daylight running light on the front bumper, rear spoiler, matrix chrome grille and rocker panels with four integrated LED entry lights. The 300C’s appearance is completed by the sport springs and rear shocks that lower the ride height by some 40 millimeters along with custom-tailored STARTECH Monostar IV wheels in diameters of 20 or 22 inches. The largest tire/wheel combination features the fully polished five-spoke wheels with tires in size 265/30 ZR 22. -Continued

Inside, the German tuner offers buyers a series of accessories including scuff plates with illuminated STARTECH logo, a high-quality completion set for the wood trim, leather door trim and armrests, a sport-steering-wheel, aluminum shifter and pedal, as well as chrome-plated aluminum door-lock pins.

For the 300C 3.0 CRD STARTECH offers the SD6 tuning kit that bumps power output of the 3.0-liter V6 common-rail turbodiesel engine from standard 218 hp to 262 hp and torque from 510 Nm to 580 Nm (376 to 428 lb-ft). The sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened from 7.6 (wagon: 7.9) seconds to 7.2 (Touring: 7.5) seconds. Top speed grows to 238 (wagon: 232) km/h (149 and 145 mph respectively).

2008 Cuda Concept Design Proposition

Looks like the one-off, custom made 2008 Cuda coupe that made its appearance at last year’s SEMA Show has enliven the interest in the Plymouth Barracuda. This computer generated rendering is the work of Rafael Reston, a digital designer from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

According to Reston, the Cuda Concept is based on the platform of the Chrysler 300C, while the proposed power source is a 5.4-litre bio-fuelled HEMI V8 engine. If you ask us, the overall design seems a little bit too “Hot-Wheelish” for our tastes.
